The Tri-Oval at Meridian Speedway Takes First Green Flag This Friday
The green flag flies over the Treasure Valley’s newest racetrack this Friday, July 9, as the Trevor Cristiani Racing Tri-Oval at Meridian Speedway holds its inaugural event. The roughly one-tenth mile, D-shaped asphalt oval will host five kart divisions this Friday, including Quarter Midgets, Box Stocks, Predators, 250’s, and an open competition class where just about anything goes.
As their name suggests, Quarter Midgets are one-fourth scale versions of real-world midgets that go wheel-to-wheel on Meridian Speedway’s quarter-mile oval. Built around a full tubular frame with real working suspension and powered by a single-cylinder engine, these diminutive speed machines look to be the perfect match for the Trevor Cristiani Racing Tri-Oval at Meridian Speedway.
Though their usual home is on dirt, the Box Stocks, Predators, and 250 karts will also brave the all-new Trevor Cristiani Racing Tri-Oval at Meridian Speedway. Plus, the just-about-anything-goes Open division brings together odds and ends from all over the karting world.
General admission to Friday night’s Trevor Cristiani Racing Tri-Oval at Meridian Speedway debut is just $10 for adults, and includes access to both the grandstands and the pit area. Drivers are $20. Gates open at 5 p.m. Friday with practice sessions at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Limited concessions will be available. For more information log on to www.meridianspeedway.com. We’ll see you this Friday night under the big yellow water tower for go kart racing at the Trevor Cristiani Racing Tri-Oval at Meridian Speedway.
