Trunk or Treat Saturday Closes Close Championship Battles

Meridian Speedway treats race fans to the final race night of 2017 this Saturday, October 28, as the quarter-mile oval hosts the Trunk or Treat Halloween Championship. Come early for all the trunk or treat goodies you can handle, then sit back and watch as the Pepsi Crate Cars and ISRL Super Sixes, TEAM Mazda Mini Stocks, TATES Rents Hornets, and Teleperformance Claimer Stocks settle their seasons with a late afternoon rumble.

Jason Sanders clings to the TEAM Mazda Mini Stock point lead, despite being forced to a backup car three races ago. Now, a late season push has Ray Bolinger within striking distance of the point leader.  Can Sanders hang on for one more race, or will Bolinger power to the top of the 2017 championship?

Twenty-seven markers separate Rob Grice from his closest Pepsi Crate Car and ISRL Super Six competitors entering Saturday afternoon’s action. Can Grice close out his first championship run Saturday, or will young guns Casey Tillman and Riley Rogers track down the veteran campaigner to claim their own crown?

The TATES Rents Hornets have a long 100 laps to settle their championship score Saturday.  Hard-charging Jamo Stephensen sits a scant 24 markers ahead of consistent point earner Monica Heath as the two enter championship Saturday.  Which approach will reign supreme as the TATES Rents Hornets complete their final 25 miles of the season?

The Teleperformance Claimer Stocks settle their season with the YMC Heating and Cooling 75 Saturday. Though Dan Lowther has dominated the division with nine feature victories in 2017, Brian Hyde has kept pace, and through a string of solid finishes finds himself just 25 points out of the championship.  Who will make the best of the crowded confines and emerge a champion this Saturday?

Everyone’s invited to the Meridian Speedway Trunk or Treat this Saturday, October 28, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Qualifying goes green at 2:30 p.m. and championship races go green at 3:30 p.m.  General admission to all the championship racing action is just $11 for adults, $8.50 for seniors and military members.  Log on to meridianspeedway.com for the latest news from around the quarter-mile, and be sure to text ‘meridianspeed’ to 84483 for exclusive updates.  We’ll see you this Saturday, October 28, for the Trunk or Treat Halloween Championship under the big yellow water tower at your NASCAR Home Track, Meridian Speedway.
