Sprintcars Speed Toward Saturday Debut

Meridian Speedway’s fastest take to the asphalt quarter-mile this Saturday, April 22, for the Interstate Winged Sprintcar Opener. The Pepsi Crate Cars and Peterson Chevrolet Super Sixes, Project Filter Pro-4 Tri-Track Challenge Series, College of Western Idaho High School Tuners, Domino’s Legends, and Teleperformance Claimer Stocks round out a jam-packed night of racing action.

The asphalt-blistering Interstate Winged Sprintcars roar into Meridian Speedway this Saturday for their first visit to the concrete jungle. Try to keep up as these purpose-built machines flash around the quarter-mile in just over eleven seconds.

The Pepsi Crate Cars and Peterson Chevrolet Super Sixes duel to determine which division reigns supreme. Though separated by only two cylinders, the on-track battles between these rival classes is always intense.

The Project Filter Pro-4 Tri-Track Challenge Series makes its first stop of 2017 at Meridian Speedway this Saturday.  Can Kenny Chandler keep his machine in front of the field, or will a fast group of young guns knock him from the top of the heap?

The Domino’s Pizza Legends make their debut on the quarter-mile under the lights Saturday. Who will race their way through a crowded pack to take home the season’s first main event trophy?

Buckle up for round two of the Teleperformance Claimer Stock season. Dan Lowther may have claimed the season’s first checkered flag, but all eyes Saturday will be on the feuding duo of Josh Hale and Brian Hyde as they look to settle their own score Saturday.

The future stars of Meridian Speedway come out again Saturday as the College of Western Idaho High School Tuners take to the track. Taylor Occhipinti may have motored to the season opening win, but sister Kendra, DJ Sirani, and a whole host of others are ready to challenge the young racer for the top spot.

General admission to this full night of racing thrills is just $11 for adults and 6.50 for kids 7-11. Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying around 5 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.  Skip the line at the gate and buy your advance tickets online at meridianspeedway.com.  We’ll see you this Saturday under the big yellow water tower for the Interstate Winged Sprintcar Opener at your NASCAR Home Track, Meridian Speedway.
