But first race fans can get insight into the Meridian, Idaho driver’s preparations for the season opener and goals during an interview on “This Week in ASA Racing”, a radio show hosted by Kevin Ramsell and available on The broadcast begins at 5 p.m. MST Wednesday.

Driving his familiar and dominant No. 24 modified racer, Stroebel built a strong bid for the Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship in 2011 with his championship run at Meridian and consistent showings around the West in a regional modified racing series.
He’ll be back at Meridian on Saturday when the green flag drops on the track’s 2012 season.
In addition to the modifieds, the SPI Super Sixes, also known as the Idaho Sprintcar and Roadster League, will make its first visit to Meridian Speedway this year.
Also on tap are the opening races for the Street Stocks and the Pit Stop Mini Stocks. A familiar class returns to the track after a brief absence with the 2012 debut of the Pit Stop Super Stocks.
Admission on opening night is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID, $6 for children ages 7-11. Kids 6 years old and younger, as always, are admitted free.
A family pass is available for $30, allowing admittance of two adults and up to four children ages 7-11.
The gates open at 4 p.m. with time trials start at 5 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m.
