POINTS BATTLES HEAT UP ON EMS, POLICE, FIRE, AND CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS NIGHT
Saturday, June 7, Meridian Speedway will open its second full month of weekly racing with a night honoring the valley’s Emergency Medical Services, Police, Fire, and Correctional Officers. Idaho Central Credit Union, sponsors of Satuday’s events, will be on hand for opening ceremonies and provide giveaways throughout the evening. Disaster Kleenup is also on board, sponsoring the night’s trophies.
Saturday’s line up will include Meridian Speedway Modifieds and Budweiser Modifieds, Pepsi Sprintcars, Team Mazda Subaru Mini Stocks, Tates Rents Hornets, and the return of Thunder Dog action.
The points battle in the Budweiser Modified division is heating up as last year’s champion Randy Keckley holds a slim, four point lead over Middleton, Idaho’s Rick Baldwin. Another class destined for a showdown is the Pepsi Sprintcars, where Ryan Newman’s early season lead has shrunk to just 14 points over Colton Nelson.
General admission tickets for Saturday’s event are $10.25 at the gate and online at meridianspeedway.com. Admission for Emergency Medical Service, Police, Fire and Correctional Officers and their families is free with professional identification. Gates open at 4 p.m. and races go green at 6:30 p.m.
As always Contingency Connection is proud to sponsor competitors by offering nearly $2,000 in awards each week from NATIONAL manufacturers. See Meridian Speedway officials for more information about Contingency Connection.
