First Responders Honored on Whelen Night at the Races

Meridian Speedway celebrates the brave men and women of the Emergency Medical Service, Police and Fire Departments and Correctional Officers for Whelen Night at the Races. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds, College of Western Idaho Super Stocks, TEAM Mazda Mini Stocks, Domino’s Legends, and Junior Stingers battle each other and the asphalt quarter-mile as summer kicks into high gear this Saturday, June 10.

The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds get two chances for victory Saturday as they contest two full main events.

The College of Western Idaho Super Stocks honor Dee Forrey and Don VanSchoiack for the fifteenth time with Saturday night’s memorial race.

Close quarters racing continues this weekend as the TEAM Mazda Mini Stock crowd the quarter-mile.

The Domino’s Legends are set to slice and dice their way through the fourth feature of their young season under the lights Saturday.

Meridian Speedway’s rising stars round out the Saturday night slate as the Junior Stingers battle for valuable division points.

General admission to Whelen Night at the races is free for Emergency Medical Technicians, Firefighters, Police, and Correctional Officers, as well as their families.
