Business Picks up for Holiday Weekend at Meridian Speedway
Meridian Speedway won’t waste your extra day off this week as racing takes center stage both Saturday and Monday. Saturday’s Aaron’s Sales and Lease Night features the Lee Roy Nelson 40 for the Pepsi Sprintcars and Super 6s. Justin Segura looks to ride the momentum of his win two weeks ago to another victory, while a snarling pack will look to knock him from the top spot. The Domino’s Pizza Legends make second straight appearance Saturday, along with the Tates Rents Hornets, and College of Western Idaho Transportation Programs High School Tuners. Anchoring this night is the Meridian Speedway debut of Outlaw Modified action.
Monday features two top-tier classes running the Naylor and Bill Crow Memorial races. Both the NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Latemodels and the Mountain Dew Winged Sprintcars will thunder around the quarter-mile. The Memorial Day action is the final tune up for winged sprinters looking to run next weekend’s BobFM Diamond Cup. Joining this already exciting Memorial Day lineup are the Team Mazda Subaru Mini Stocks, CWI Professional Truck Driving Street Stocks, Junior Stingers, and the Budweiser Modifieds, where the top three points contenders are separated by just seven points.
Fans can enjoy each of these race nights for just $10.25. Saturday’s gates open at 4:00 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m. Monday’s schedule advances one hour, with the first green flag dropping at 5:30 p.m. Advance tickets for both nights are available for purchase online at www.meridianspeedway.com.
